Shawmind is a charity on a mission to improve the mental fitness of children and young people in schools, universities and workplaces.

Studies have shown that poor mental health in childhood can have long-lasting effects on a person’s life, impacting their relationships, education, and career prospects. This is why Shawmind is dedicated to improving mental health knowledge in children and young people and providing support through the education of children, teachers and young adults.

One of the ways we are doing this is through our Headucation program, which provides schools with mental health education and supporting resources. This includes workshops, assemblies, events, and teacher training sessions aimed at equipping educators with the tools and knowledge they need to support their pupils’ mental health and well-being. By empowering teachers with the resources they need, Shawmind is helping to create a supportive environment where children learn not only to understand their feelings, but to express them in healthy ways in order to access the help that they need.

At Shawmind, we believe that mental fitness should be at the forefront of everyone’s mind, and that everyone should have access to the resources and support they need to live a happy, healthy life.

We are dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental ill health, and committed to providing mental health education where it is needed most.
