Fundraising Update

As coronavirus arrived on our shores, we were celebrating a month of successful fundraising activities that included our Sock it to Stigma campaign which raised almost £1,000 in one day – thanks in part to the London Sock Company, who donated a £1 for every mention of our hashtag and a percentage of the sales of their socks on the day.

Closer to home Hays Travel Newark raised just over £90 during their coffee morning on Saturday 29th February.

Since social distancing has come into effect many of our fundraisers have had to cancel their plans for the coming months and several of our fundraising plans for the year have been put on hold. Despite this, we have continued to receive some great support locally and nationally, including a donation of £450 from the Royal Chapel, Windsor Great Park and £250 from the Rotary Club of Newark Castle.

Our marketing manager took part in the 2.6 Challenge on 26th April, cycling the 26-mile London Marathon distance, and has raised £370 so far.

In addition, we are grateful to Nottinghamshire County Council for their generous COVID-19 support grant allowing us to continue providing mental health support services in Nottinghamshire.
